In-person and Online (live) tuition.
Since 2011, we have operated from dedicated premises in Longrock, near Penzance in Cornwall, where we have two classrooms and a teaching laboratory for in-person tuition and two online classrooms from which we deliver live tuition to students who cannot make it to the unit; the teaching laboratory also has provision for online, interactive experimentation. We see this last as somewhere between the gold standard of active particiption in a laboratory experiment and the passive experience of watching a teacher demonstration or YouTube video.
Tutors as well as teachers.
Our methods are essentially
practical and accessible. We have a wide range of activities available to support your French
conversation
skills, whether they are for work, leisure, pleasure or formal exams at GCSE or A Level (or even the DELF). Science students can choose from a range of workshops
or improve their understanding of critical subject areas with our Science GCSE Troubleshooters.
Both the French and the Science activities stretch
students intellectually and add
depth and context to their studies. For students facing exams, they provide robust and tested revision timetables; the modules are usually taken as a series of one-to-one tutorials. This series is especially valuable for home-educated students as it ensures that all the necessary subject material has been fully covered at home before sitting any exams.
